Scooter Store Holdings gets approval of dismissal of Chapter 11 cases

By Mark Reccek

Bethlehem, Pa., Oct. 1 – Scooter Store Holdings, Inc. received court approval to dismiss its Chapter 11 cases, according to an order filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

According to the order, the company liquidated substantially all of its assets and terminated remaining business operations.

As previously reported, the company asked the court to dismiss its Chapter 11 cases due to the “administrative costs of formulating and confirming a plan of reorganization or liquidation.”

Scooter Store, a New Braunfels, Texas-based provider of power mobility products, filed for bankruptcy on April 15, 2013. Its Chapter 11 case number is 13-10904.
