GS Finance plans leveraged buffered notes due 2023 linked to Russell

Olympia, Wash., Oct. 25 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% leveraged buffered index-linked notes due Nov. 30, 2023 tied to the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes are guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.
If the index return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 1.3 times the index return, up to a maximum settlement amount of $1,500 for each $1,000 face amount.
If the index falls by up to 25%, the payout will be par.
Investors will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond 25%.
Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.
The notes will price on Nov. 27 and settle on Nov. 30.
The Cusip number is 40056EBY3.
