RBC to price principal-protected notes linked to Euro Stoxx 50, Nikkei 225

Washington, March 8 - Royal Bank of Canada plans to sell 0% principal-protected international index basket-linked notes due March 30, 2010 linked to the Dow Jones Euro Stoxx 50 and Nikkei 225 indexes, according to a 424B5 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The indexes will be equally weighted.

Payout at maturity will be par plus any gain on the basket. Investors will receive at least par.

The notes are expected to price on March 28 and settle on March 30.
