Reliant Energy Channelview U.S. Trustee appoints unsecured creditors committee

Pittsburgh, Aug. 30 - Reliant Energy Channelview LP's U.S. Trustee appointed the official committee of unsecured creditors for the company's Chapter 11 case, according to a Thursday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The committee is made up of J. Donald Hamilton of Equistar Chemicals, LP, Houston; Paul Leblanc of Ice Solv, LLC, Palmyra, Pa.; and Ron McNutt of Siemens Power Generation, Inc., Orlando, Fla.

Houston-based Reliant Energy provides electricity and energy services. The company filed for bankruptcy on Aug. 20. Its Chapter 11 case number is 07-11160.
