PSEG files automatic shelf registration for cumulative preferreds

Knoxville, Tenn., Nov. 22 - Public Service Electric and Gas Co. filed a cumulative preferred stock automatic shelf registration in an S-3 ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The preferreds may be structured as convertibles.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

The utility is based in Newark, N.J.
