Patriot Coal assigned official unsecured creditor committee of seven

New York, May 21 – Patriot Coal Corp.’s U.S. trustee, Judy A. Robbins, appointed a seven-member official committee of unsecured creditors to the company’s bankruptcy case, according to a Thursday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

Members of the committee are Laura L. Moran of U.S. Bank NA of Boston; David Allen of United Mine Workers of America 1974 Pension Plan and Trust of Washington, D.C.; Stephen Moss of Strata Mine Services, LLC of Sandy Springs, Ga.; Michael Coffey of Crown Parts & Machine, Inc. of Billings, Mont.; Grant Crandall of United Mine Workers of America of Trangle, Va.; S.R. Smith of Raleigh Mine & Industrial of Mount Hope, W.Va.; and David McCombie of Enviromine, Inc. of Nitro, W.Va.

Patriot Coal, a Richmond, Va.-based miner, producer and seller of thermal coal, filed for bankruptcy on May 12. The Chapter 11 case number is 15-32450.
