MSRB to discuss preliminary statements, disclosure at April meeting

New York, April 17 - The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board announced that its board of directors will discuss the following rulemaking topics at its April 24-26 meeting:

• Comments received on a concept proposal to require underwriters to submit preliminary official statements to Electronic Municipal Market Access;

• Comments received on MSRB rules and interpretive guidance;

• Comments received on a concept proposal relating to the planned development of a new central transparency platform as a successor to the Real-time Transaction Reporting System;

• Comments received on codifying the time of trade obligation of dealers currently described in interpretive guidance to MSRB Rule G-17; and

• A proposal to consolidate the MSRB's interpretive guidance for sophisticated municipal market professionals into a standalone rule.
