MSRB announces new board members and board officers for fiscal 2012

Kansas City, Kan., Oct. 1 - The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board has seated seven new members on its board of directors for the new fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, according to a news release.

The new members include the following public representatives: Richard K Ellis, treasurer for the state of Utah; W. Bartley Hildreth, professor of public management and policy at Georgia State University; Gene R. Saffold, independent consultant; and Robin L. Wiessmann, former treasurer of the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The new members also include the following bank representatives: Kym S. Arnone, managing director and head of municipal securitization initiatives at Barclays; and Craig A. Noble, managing director and head of the retail fixed income group for Wells Fargo.

The final new member is municipal advisor representative Marianne F. Edmonds, senior managing director for Public Resources Advisory Group.

New officers were also appointed for the new fiscal year. Returning board member Jay M. Goldstone, chief operating officer of the city of San Diego, will be chair of the board. Returning board member Stephen E. Heaney, managing director of Stone & Youngberg, a division of Stifel Nicolaus, will be the vice chair.
