Morgan Stanley plans buffered PLUS due 2021 linked to S&P 500 index

Olympia, Wash., Aug. 6 – Morgan Stanley Finance LLC plans to price 0% buffered Performance Leveraged Upside Securities due March 3, 2021 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to an FWP filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 200% of any index gain, up to a maximum payout of $12.17 per PLUS.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 10% and will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond the buffer.

The notes are guaranteed by Morgan Stanley.

Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC is the agent with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management handling distribution.

The notes will price on Aug. 15 and settle on Aug. 20.

The Cusip number is 61768R476.
