Morgan Stanley prices 10-year floaters linked to Consumer Price Index

Madison, Wis., Feb. 28 - Morgan Stanley plans to price senior floating-rate notes due March 15, 2021 linked to the Consumer Price Index, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The coupon will be 5% for the first year. After that, the interest rate will equal the year-over-year change in the index plus 200 basis points, subject to a maximum rate of 8%. Interest is payable monthly and cannot be less than zero.

The payout at maturity will be par.

The notes (Cusip: 61745E5R8) will settle on March 15.
