Moody's rates Laredo Petroleum notes Caa2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Caa2 rating to Laredo Petroleum, Inc.'s new senior unsecured notes due 2019.

The outlook is stable.

"The new notes will enhance Laredo's liquidity with proceeds being used to repay a portion of the credit facility borrowings," Jonathan Kalmanoff, a Moody's analyst, said in a news release.
