S&P rates new Halliburton notes

Standard & Poor's said it assigned its BBB rating to Halliburton Co.'s recently announced $500 million senior unsecured floating-rate notes due 2007.

Halliburton's ratings remain on CreditWatch with developing implications, where they were placed on Dec. 16.

S&P said it expects that following the CreditWatch resolution, Halliburton's corporate credit rating would be at least BBB with a stable outlook provided certain conditions are met.
