Goldman plans one-year trigger notes linked to iShares MSCI EM fund

Chicago, April 20 – GS Finance Corp. plans to price 0% trigger notes due May 9, 2018 linked to the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets exchange-traded fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will be guaranteed by Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.

If the fund finishes at or above its 80% threshold level, the payout at maturity will be par plus the greater of zero and any gain up to a maximum settlement amount of $1,156.10 for each $1,000 principal amount.

Otherwise, investors will be fully exposed to any losses.

Goldman Sachs & Co. is the underwriter with JPMorgan as placement agent.

The notes will price on April 21.

The Cusip number is 40054L7B4.
