Frontier operating income improves to $18.94 million in December

Pittsburgh, Jan. 28 - Frontier Airlines Holdings, Inc. reported $18.94 million of operating income for December on $109.18 million of revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The figures showed improvement over the $2.5 million operating income posted in November on $94.4 million of revenues.

The company recorded an $18.67 million December net income, up from a $2.9 million November net income.

Frontier had $69.06 million in cash and cash equivalents at Dec. 31, compared with $53.4 million at the end of November.

Frontier, a Denver-based airline, filed for bankruptcy on April 10, 2008. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-11298.
