Federal-Mogul posts $9.4 million April operating loss

Pittsburgh, June 1 - Federal-Mogul Corp. reported a $9.4 million operating loss on sales of $297.9 million, according to its monthly operating report filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The net loss for the month was $9.7 million.

Cash and cash equivalents at April 30 were $416.1 million.

Federal-Mogul, a Southfield, Mich.-based auto parts manufacturer, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 1, 2001 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. Its Chapter 11 case number is 01-10578.
