S&P gives Equifax notes BBB

S&P said it gave a BBB rating to Equifax Inc.’s planned senior unsecured notes due in 2028.

The sale does not affect Equifax’s BBB issuer rating or stable outlook, S&P said.

Equifax intends to use the proceeds for the $400 million 2023 bond maturity, to partially finance the Boa Vista acquisition and for general corporate purposes, which may include the repayment of borrowings under its commercial paper program.
