Dura receives court approval of $160.2 million asset sale

New York, Aug. 16 - Dura Automotive Systems, Inc. obtained approval Wednesday for the $160.2 million sale of its Atwood Mobile Products division to Atwood Acquisitions Co., LLC from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

There were no other offers made for the Elkhart, Ind.-based division, which makes parts for recreational vehicles, according to source familiar with the case.

Atwood Acquisitions is an affiliate of Dallas-based private equity firm Insight Equity.

Dura, a Rochester Hills, Mich.-based automotive parts maker, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 30, 2006. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-11202.
