Moody’s rates Dow Chemical notes Baa1

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned Baa1 ratings to new senior unsecured green bonds to be issued by the Dow Chemical Co.

The ratings are in line with those on Dow’s issuer rating and outstanding senior unsecured notes.

Dow intends to use the proceeds to finance or refinance, in whole or in part, existing and/or future eligible green projects, including energy efficiency, decarbonization, circular economy-adapted products and production technologies. In particular, the company is expected to use the proceeds to fund its integrated ethylene cracker with carbon capture and storage technologies in Alberta, Canada in the next three years.

The outlook is stable.
