Destination Maternity posts $29 million loss for Dec. 1-Jan. 4 period

Pittsburgh, Jan. 22 – Destination Maternity Corp. reported a $29 million operating loss for the period of Dec. 1 through Jan. 4 on $15.42 million in net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
In comparison, Destination Maternity posted a $9.95 million operating loss for the period of Oct. 21 through Nov. 30 on $38.03 million in net sales.
The net loss for the December period was $29.32 million, growing from a $10.65 million net loss for the previous period.
In addition, the company listed $12.78 million in cash and cash equivalents as of Jan. 4, up from $10.14 million at Nov. 30.
Destination Maternity is a clothing retailer based in Moorestown, N.J. The company filed bankruptcy on Oct. 21 under Chapter 11 case number 19-12256.
