Delta Mills seeks 20-day exclusivity extension to continue sale process

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, March 27 - Delta Mills, Inc. requested a 20-day extension to its exclusive periods to file a liquidating plan of reorganization and solicit votes on the plan, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company wants to extend its exclusive plan-filing period to April 16 from March 27 and the solicitation period to June 18 from May 28.

Delta Mills said it would use the extension to continue the post-bankruptcy sale process, to move forward with the claims administration process and to finalize a liquidating plan for filing and solicitation.

A hearing is scheduled for April 19.

Delta Mills is the operating subsidiary of Delta Woodside, Inc., a Greenville, S.C.-based company that manufactures and sells textile products for the apparel industry. Delta Mills filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 13. The Chapter 11 case number is 06-11144.
