Delta Mills shows $2.25 million operating loss for Dec. 3 to Dec. 30

Pittsburgh, Jan. 23 - Delta Mills, Inc. reported a $2.25 million operating loss for the period of Dec. 3 to Dec. 30 on net sales of $4.14 million, according to its monthly operating report filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

For the period of Oct. 13 to Dec. 2, the company posted a $2.28 million operating loss on net sales of $11.77 million.

The net loss for the latest period was $2.4 million, down slightly from a $2.97 million net loss from the previous period.

The company reported zero cash and cash equivalents as of Dec. 30, compared with $30,000 as of Dec. 2.

Delta Mills is the operating subsidiary of Delta Woodside, Inc., a Greenville, S.C.-based company that manufactures and sells textile products for the apparel industry. Delta Mills filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 13. The Chapter 11 case number is 06-11144.
