Moody's affirms China Life

Moody's Investors Service said it affirmed the A1 insurance financial strength rating on China Life Insurance Co Ltd. with a positive outlook.

"Despite China Life's weaker operating performance and capitalization for the first nine months of the year, its business and financial profile metrics are still in line with our expectations for its stand-alone baseline credit assessment of 5, which maps to the traditional rating scale of A1," Moody's vice president and senior credit officer Sally Yim said in a news release.
