Moody’s rates Celanese notes Baa3

Moody’s Investors Service said it assigned Baa3 ratings to the new notes of Celanese US Holdings LLC due in 2028, 2030 and 2033. The issuer is a wholly owned subsidiary of Celanese Corp., rated Baa3, which guarantees the notes.

The proceeds will be used to refinance debt maturities in 2025 and for general corporate purposes, including the repayment of debt maturing in 2024.

The outlook remains negative.
