Moody's gives Aa1 to Boston G.O. bonds

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an Aa1 rating to Boston's general obligation bonds, including $126 million of 2008 series A and $36.5 million of 2008 series B.

Sale of the bonds is expected on March 6.

Moody's also affirmed the Aa1 rating on the city's outstanding G.O. bonds, affecting about $760 million of outstanding parity debt.

The outlook is stable.
