Brookfield intends to issue $500 million of 30-year notes

Knoxville, Tenn., Sept. 11 – Brookfield Finance Inc. plans to price $500 million of 30-year notes, according to a press release.

Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. and HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. are the joint bookrunners.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

The notes will be guaranteed by Brookfield Asset Management Inc., a Toronto-based alternative asset manager with about $250 billion in assets under management.
