Marketing starts for Suncor Energy Centre C$550 million senior secured bond offering

Tupelo, Miss., July 31 - SEC LP and Arci Ltd. intend to price C$550 million of series 1 senior secured bonds due 2033 following a two-week marketing process, according to informed sources on Wednesday.

The bonds (DBRS: A) are secured by the Calgary, Alta.-based Suncor Energy Center complex, which is operated by Brookfield Properties Management Corp.

TD Securities Inc. and CIBC World Markets Inc. are the lead managers.

SEC, an affiliate of Brookfield Canada Office Properties Inc., and Arci, a privately owned Alberta-based corporation, plan to use the proceeds to redeem existing debt secured by the complex and for general corporate purposes.
