Barclays plans to price one-look notes linked to Apple

Morgantown, W.Va., Dec. 29 – Barclays Bank plc plans to price 0% one-look notes due January 2017 linked to the common stock of Apple Inc., according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

BofA Merrill Lynch is the underwriter.

If the final share price is greater than or equal to the initial share price, the payout at maturity will be par of $10 plus 16% to 20%. The exact conditional payment will be set at pricing. Otherwise, investors will have 1-to-1 exposure to the stock’s decline.

The notes are expected to price in January.
