Allied Holdings posts $3.96 million April operating income

Pittsburgh, June 1 - Allied Holdings, Inc. recorded a $3.96 million operating income for April on revenues of $78.07 million, according to its monthly operating report filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

The numbers compare to a $6.38 million March operating income on revenues of $92.7 million.

The net income for April was $648,000, up from a $416,000 March net loss.

Cash and cash equivalents at April 30 were $406,000, compared with $297,000 at the end of March.

The Decatur, Ga., distributor of new and used vehicles filed for bankruptcy on Aug. 1, 2005. Its Chapter 11 case number is 05-12515.
