Fitch rates Alaska Air certificates BBB
Fitch said it assigned a BBB rating to Alaska Air’s proposed pass-through trust series 2020-1 class B certificates due August 2025.
Alaska Air plans to sell $208.1 million in class B certificates as an add-on to the class A certificates. The transaction will be secured by a pool of 61 aircraft that were delivered between 2007 and 2018.
The class B certificates will feature a 5.1-year tenor and 3.1-year weighted average life.
The collateral pool will include 26 737-800s delivered from 2007-2010, 16 737-900ERs delivered in 2017 and 2019 and 19 E-175 delivered in 2017 and 2018. Fitch said it considers the aircraft to be tier 1 collateral.
