Seyfarth expands bankruptcy practice with new partner James Sullivan

Chicago, Feb. 20 – Seyfarth Shaw LLP hired James M. Sullivan to its newly formed restructuring and insolvency practice, according to a press release.

Sullivan will work out of the firm’s New York office.

Sullivan was previously a partner at Windels Marx where he represented corporate debtors, banks, secured and unsecured creditors, creditors’ committees, trustees and distressed investors in large Chapter 11 cases.

In addition to his bankruptcy and restructuring work, Sullivan has a corporate transactional practice, including counseling borrowers and lenders in acquisition and corporate financing, and he also handles commercial and real estate litigation matters.

The firm launched its new restructuring and insolvency practice when it hired Jason DeJonker in January.

Seyfarth Shaw is based in Chicago.
