Barclays updates on iPath Bloomberg Commodity Index Total Return ETN

Chicago, Jan. 29 – Barclays Bank plc published a pricing supplement related to its up to $3.45 billion iPath Bloomberg Commodity Index Total Return ETN due June 12, 2036 in a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Barclays may issue the notes (Cusip: 06738C778) from time to time.

The notes trade on the NYSE Arca stock exchange as “DJP.”

As of Jan. 12, there were 69 million ETNs outstanding issued at par of $50.

The notes were first sold on June 6, 2006 and first issued on June 9, 2006.

Sales by Barclays after the inception date are made at market prices prevailing at the time of sale.

Linked

The notes are linked to the Bloomberg Commodity Index Total Return. The index is composed of futures contracts on certain commodities and is intended to reflect the returns that are potentially available through an unleveraged investment in those contracts plus the rate of interest that could be earned on cash collateral invested in specified Treasury bills.

Maturity

At maturity, ETN holders will receive cash based on the principal amount times the ‘index factor’ on the final valuation date minus the investor fee on the final valuation date.

The index factor on any given day will be the closing level of the index divided by the initial level on the inception date.

The investor fee is 0.75% per year from the inception date to April 30, 2015 and then 0.7% per year from April 30, 2015 to maturity.

Puts

The notes are putable on any holder redemption date during the term of the notes.

Holders will receive par times the index factor on the applicable valuation date minus the investor fee.

The redemption right is contingent on at least 30,000 ETNs redeemed at one time.

Currently, Barclays temporarily reduced the minimum redemption amount to 5,000 ETNs.

The redemption dates are the third business day for each business day from June 15, 2006 to June 5, 2036.

Barclays is the agent for the ETNs.
