Fitch assigns A- to IBM notes

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an A- rating to the planned senior unsecured notes to be issued by IBM International Capital Pte. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of International Business Machines Corp. IBM will guarantee the notes.

The agency assigned IBM A- issuer and senior unsecured ratings on Nov. 29.

The proceeds are expected to be used for general corporate purposes, including the repayment of debt.

The outlook is stable.
