S&P assigns BBB to Valia notes

S&P said it assigned a BBB rating to the senior secured notes for up to $520 million with a fixed interest rate and a final maturity in 2039 to be issued by Buffalo Energy Mexico Holdings SA de CV, Buffalo Energy Infrastructure SA de CV and Buffalo Energy SA de CV (collectively, Valia Energia).

The notes will be backed by the revenues generated from Valia Energia's asset portfolio.

Valia Energia is a private energy generation platform based in Mexico with seven power plants that have an installed total capacity of around 3.2 gigawatts (GW) and a 58-kilometer (km) natural gas pipeline.

The outlook is stable.
