Soft Surroundings’ official committee of unsecured creditors formed

Olympia, Wash., Sept. 21 – Soft Surroundings Holdings, LLC’s official committee of unsecured creditors was appointed Thursday, according to a notice filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

The members are Brookfield Properties Retail Inc., based in Chicago, Jiaxing Mengdi Import & Export Co., Ltd., based in Jiaxing, China, Hangzhou Sino-Italy Apparel Co. Ltd., based in Sherman Oaks, Calif., Zhejiang Jiaxin Silk Corp., Ltd., based in Jiaxing, China, Shanghai Sunwin Industry Group, based in Shanghai, Jiva Designs Pvt Ltd., based in Faridabad, India, and Tolani Collection, based in San Marcos, Calif.

The St. Louis-based retailer of women's apparel, home, shoe and accessories merchandise filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Sept. 10 under case number 23-90769.
