Trinity Regional Hospital seeks extension of exclusive plan periods
By Sarah Lizee
Olympia, Wash., Nov. 22 – Sunland Medical Foundation, which does business as Trinity Regional Hospital Sachse, is seeking a 60-day extension of its exclusive periods to file and solicit votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to a motion filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.
Specifically, the debtor asked the court to extend the exclusive plan filing period through Feb. 26 and the exclusive solicitation period through April 25.
“The debtors’ purpose in seeking extension of the exclusivity periods is a good-faith effort to conclude the plan process without the distraction and costs of a competing plan process,” the debtor said in the motion.
“Any competing plan would serve as a distraction and deplete the debtors’ limited resources and time.”
The Sachse, Tex.-based hospital filed bankruptcy on Aug. 29 under Chapter 11 case number 23-80000.
