SunEnergy1 gets $211 million in financing to build Oak Solar power plant

Lexington, Ky., July 25 – SunEnergy1 LLC secured $211 million in financing arranged by the energy finance group of First Citizens Bank, according to a press release.

The financing package included a term loan, letter of credit and a bridge loan.

The Mooresville, N.C.-based solar development company will use the financing to construct its 200-megawatt Oak Solar power plant in Gaston, N.C. Upon completion, 100% of the power will be sold to McDonald’s Corp. under a 17-year power purchase agreement.
