Structurlam Mass Timber seeks extension of exclusive plan periods

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., Aug. 21 – Structurlam Mass Timber U.S., Inc. is seeking an extension of its exclusive periods to file and solicit votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to a motion filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company asked the court to extend the exclusive plan filing period through Nov. 17 from Aug. 19 and the exclusive solicitation period through Jan. 16 from Oct. 18.

The debtor said the extension will provide for a full and fair opportunity to resolve open case issues, evaluate certain claims, and formulate, draft, propose, and solicit a plan without the distraction of competing plans.

This is the company’s first request for an extension.

The debtor is a manufacturer of mass timber solutions and has headquarters in Penticton, B.C. The company filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy on April 21 under case number 23-10497.
