Desert Home Care closes sale of its assets to DAP Health

Olympia, Wash., Aug. 1 – Borrego Community Health Foundation, which does business as Desert Home Care, closed the sale of its assets to Desert AIDS Project, doing business as DAP Health, according to a notice filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of California.

DAP, the winning bidder at auction, offered a cash consideration of $50 million, payment of cure costs, assumption of liabilities and funding of pre-closing net operational cash flow losses, as previously reported.

Altamed Health Services Corp. had been named backup bidder.

The San Diego-based provider of in-home skilled nursing services filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Sept. 12, 2022 under case number 22-02384.
