Desert Home receives another extension of exclusive plan periods

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., June 14 – Borrego Community Health Foundation, which does business as Desert Home Care, received another extension of its exclusive periods to file and solicit votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to an order filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of California.

The court extended the exclusive plan filing period through Sept. 7 from May 10 and the exclusive solicitation period through Nov. 4 from July 7.

The company said it plans to file a joint plan with its official committee of unsecured creditors during the exclusive periods.

The debtor is working on closing the sale of its assets to Desert AIDS Project, doing business as DAP Health. Proceeds from the sale will be distributed in line with the terms of the plan.

The San Diego-based provider of in-home skilled nursing services filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Sept. 12, 2022 under case number 22-02384.
