Prospect News reports three new defaults for Sept. 1-Sept. 7

Olympia, Wash., Sept. 9 – Prospect News reported three new defaults for the period of Sept. 1 through Sept. 7.

Specifically, Prospect News reported Chapter 11 filings made by Cineworld Group plc, Clarus Therapeutics, Inc. and Shops at Broad, LLC.

So far in 2022, Prospect News has reported 107 defaults, including 54 Chapter 11 filings, 26 missed interest payments, 12 missed interest and principal payments, seven Chapter 15 filings, two liquidations, and one each of Chapter 7 filings, reorganizations, missed principal payments, missed interest payments within a grace period, administrations and bankruptcy filings.

The three companies that filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy during the week reported at least $1.1 billion in assets and at least $10.11 million in liabilities. The bulk of those figures came from Cineworld, which posted at least $1 billion of the assets and $10 billion of the liabilities.
