Gissing case conversion may be challenged through January

Chicago, Dec. 20 – Gissing North America LLC’s potential conversion of its Chapter 11 cases to Chapter 7 cases may be challenged through Jan. 25 for both the committee of unsecured creditors and the trustee (if appointed), according to a stipulation filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

The stipulation was entered into by the committee and the prepetition lenders.

The case conversion is expected to occur around Dec. 27.

The Bingham Farms, Mich.-based company is a manufacturer of acoustic systems for the automotive industry. The company filed bankruptcy on Aug. 8 under Chapter 11 case number 22-46160.
