Gissing North America has until late January to file Chapter 11 plan

Chicago, Nov. 23 – Gissing North America LLC has been given more time to file a combined plan and disclosure statement, according to a stipulated order from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

The parties in the case – the debtors, the official committee of unsecured creditors, the U.S. trustee, Huntington National Bank, Comerica Bank, General Motors LLC and Tesla, Inc. – have all agreed to a revised schedule.

The deadline for the plan filing is Jan. 25.

Ballots are due by March 27.

A hearing on objections to final approval is scheduled for April 14.

The Bingham Farms, Mich.-based company is a manufacturer of acoustic systems for the automotive industry. The company filed bankruptcy on Aug. 8 under Chapter 11 case number 22-46160.
