Prospect News reports three new defaults for March 7-March 13

Olympia, Wash., March 15 – Prospect News reported three new defaults for March 7 through March 13.

Specifically, Prospect News reported Chapter 11 filings by Charge Enterprises, Inc. and Enviva Inc. and a Chapter 7 filing by Buth-Na-Bodhaige, Inc. (The Body Shop).

Prospect News also reported a missed principal and interest payment by Zhenro Properties Group Ltd., but the company had already defaulted several times.

So far in 2024, Prospect News has reported 40 total defaults, including 25 Chapter 11 filings, five missed principal and interest payments, two each of Chapter 15 filings, missed interest payments, missed principal payments and Chapter 7 filings, and one each of CCAA filings and liquidations.

The companies that filed Chapter 11 during the week reported at least $2.99 billion in assets and at least $2.68 billion in liabilities collectively, with Enviva responsible for the bulk of those figures.
