GT Real Estate secures 120-day extension of exclusive plan periods

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., Oct. 18 – GT Real Estate Holdings, LLC secured an extension of its exclusive periods to file and solicit votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to an order filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Specifically, the court extended the plan filing period through Jan. 27 from Sept. 29 and the solicitation period through March 28 from Nov. 28.

As previously reported, the company already filed a Chapter 11 plan. The disclosure statement was approved earlier this month.

The company said in its motion that in the coming weeks and months it will be focused on plan confirmation, which is scheduled to be heard by the court on Nov. 16.

GT Real Estate noted while it has been working to put together a value-maximizing plan, various parties have initiated litigation. This includes lawsuits filed by York County, S.C., and Rock Hill, S.C., and separate venue transfer motions filed by Mascaro/Barton Marlow and Rock Hill.

The Charlotte, N.C.-based real estate company filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy on June 1 under case number 22-10505.
