S&P assigns Meta notes AA-

S&P said it assigned an AA- issue-level rating to Meta Platforms Inc.'s planned issuance of senior unsecured notes ranging in maturity from five to 40 years.

“We rate Meta's unsecured debt at the same level as our long-term issuer credit rating because there is no priority debt in the capital structure and there is minimal financial risk,” the agency said in a press release.

Meta plans to use the proceeds to bolster its liquidity profile and for general corporate purposes, including capital expenditures, potential acquisitions and share repurchases.

The outlook is stable.
