Aluminium Dunkerque/Liberty Industries refinances with bond facility

Chicago, Oct. 22 – Aluminium Dunkerque Industries France SAS (formerly known as Liberty Industries France SAS) completed refinancing its senior facility agreement, including $235 million of funded debt and $60 million in hedging liabilities, according to a press release.

All holders of the senior facility, which was previously in default, have received payment at par plus interest.

The new funded debt is a bond held by affiliates of American Industrial Partners Capital Fund VII, LP.

The five-year bond has a reduced cash-pay interest rate and no mandatory amortization.

Proceeds provide for significant additional working capital for the operating needs of the company and its subsidiaries.

Aluminium Dunkerque is a primary aluminium smelter based in Loon-Plage, France.
