Audacy seeks approval to sell a radio station property for $3.5 million

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., Feb. 9 – Audacy, Inc. is seeking approval to sell land containing one of its radio station towers to ATS-Needham LLC, according to a motion filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Since 1998, the debtors have leased a portion of the property to ATS-Needham through a land lease expiring in November 2025.

The debtors would receive $3.5 million at closing, if approved.

The company said the net effect of the sale is to allow the debtors to monetize the property while continuing to use it as a tower site location rent-free.

A hearing is scheduled for Feb. 20.

Audacy is a Philadelphia-based broadcasting company that filed bankruptcy on Jan. 7 under Chapter 11 case number 24-90004.
