Express Grain receives OK to extend sale closing date to May 31
Chicago, April 29 – Express Grain Terminals, LLC received court approval to extend the outside closing date for its sale of its Mississippi facilities in Sidon, Greenwood and Minter City to secured lender UMB Bank, NA for $25 million under a credit bid, according to an order filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Mississippi.
UMB was the highest bidder at a Feb. 25 auction for the facilities.
The sale is now expected to close no later than May 31, pushed back from April 30
The transition services agreement is also extended to May 31.
Greenwood, Miss.-based Express Grain Terminals is an agricultural processing and marketing company. It filed bankruptcy on Sept. 29 under Chapter 11 case number 21-11832.
