Alpha Latam seeks another extension of exclusive plan periods

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., June 30 – Alpha Latam Management, LLC is seeking a fourth extension of its exclusive periods for filing and soliciting votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to a motion filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Specifically, the company asked the court to extend the plan filing period and the solicitation period through July 31 from June 30.

As previously reported, the company’s plan was confirmed on March 16. The company said it is seeking further exclusivity through the effective date of the plan.

Alpha Latam said it continues to work for the necessary regulatory approvals in Colombia.

The company said the momentum of the case could be slowed if it is forced to fend off alternative Chapter 11 proposals.

Wilmington, Del.-based Alpha Latam Management is a technology-enabled financial services company that provides consumer lending products in Colombia. The company filed bankruptcy on Aug. 1, 2021 under Chapter 11 case number 21-11109.
