DBRS gives Sagen MI Canada notes A

DBRS said it assigned a provisional rating of A (low) to Sagen MI Canada Inc.’s fixed-to-fixed rate subordinated notes series 2021-1 due 2081.

The rating is consistent with DBRS’ notching approach for capital instruments issued by insurance companies, the agency said.

The trend is negative.
